veg oil now buy one 3ltr get one free at tesco, but should i use it

Well i have used veg oil in the past, when it was cheap from supermarkets and mixed it acordingly to the weather etc,However i used it sometimes on a hi-ace, engine blew eventually, then my present estima, engine blew, but only used veg oil once, but then again didn,t do a oil change in over 12 mths, my fault.
Anyway Tescos are now doing (14/05/2010) 3ltrs for about £2-95, buy one get one free. So i,m thinking off buying again and doing the amount small to start off with, mixing into the tank with diesel on a small scale, what are members opinion on this, and don,t forget you get points as well, bargain.
Glad i,m back on the site, lost the website, took me ages to find, lol

I'm pretty sure the Tesco deal is 3ltrs for £2.95 or 2 times 3ltrs for a fiver. Not buy one get one free.

Normally it is but it's on special offer between 13-18th of this month
Rapeseed £2.53 buy one get one free
Sunflower £2.95 buy one get one free
Hope the stocks are high I've ordered a lake of the stuff online, can't wait to see the delivery driver's face

my tesco is both sunflower and rapeseed £2.95 bogof!!!!!!!!!!!!gonna stock up on that stuff!!

Been for a visit to my local Tesco Express a couple of times now and have got 48 bottles over the counter
Police had a stop and search going on last night, don't think they were expecting a van with a boot load of veg 
After a few questions on how legal it was, not sure he knew the rules on veg himself, he gave me a gentle warning to stick to the 2500 limit (that he had just heard about from me :sofa:) because HMCE could awkward sods when they wanted to be

I managed to get 10 3ltr bottles in dundee today..that was all there was in 3 big tesco stores..and cleaned out the small local tesco..of 4 bottles..lol
need to try again...tomorrow

Not like Dunfermline need it that badly either, pallet was still chest high when I last popped in. 48 bottles bought, not including delivery batch yet. Wish it was closer to payday could have had enough fuel stocked up for the rest of the year at this rate

I got 12 bottles of 3ltr veg today from Tesco... £2.53 a bottle buy1 get 1 free.. cheaper than going to Bookers.
£2.53 x 6 = £15.18 .. so 18 litres of veg for 84p litre.
buy 1 get one free means 6 bottles free makes 12 bottles for £15.18 ... so 42p litre.. BARGAIN !!!!
Only thing is it's an instore offer while current stocks last.... and restricted to 2 offers (4 bottles) per customer.
So buy 4 at a time..
Then put another 4 thru checkout... and so on.
I'm hoping to get some more 2moro before they all go.

Mince... you got lucky at your stores... ours are inforcing the restriction... but I have spoken to my boss and can get it daily til they run out or I run out of money..
