Help with full beam
« on: March 26, 2012, 10:03:43 PM »

Hi all,
My poor old 1992 Estima failed its MOT today on basic stuff, all in hand, but one thing, I need to adjust the height of the full beam.
Have found a couple of hex headed screws, top one adjusts the height of the dipped headlights, but the lower one does not seem to do much.

I need to adjust the 2 spot light type lights either side of the grill, any advise you guys can offer would be so very helpfull.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Alexb67

I did mine recently for nct (irish mot)  the top hex headed screw turned clockwise pulls the top of the headlamp in, the bottom one pulls the bottom in ,likewise turning the screws anticlockwise will push the headlamp out towards the  ditch                                                       If you have to pull your main beam in quite a bit like I did , turn both screws clockwise
equally ie. 10 turns top and 10 turns bottom.
once you have the beam in the right area (dead straight) you can adjust the height by turning the top clockwise for up anti for down
The longer screw further towards the grill sticking out about an inch or so ,raises and
lowers the fog lights

                        hope this helps
