Squeel when turning
« on: February 10, 2012, 03:57:22 PM »

Happy Friday folks.

Something that's been bugging me and getting increasingly worse.

When turning left and carrying a bit of speed I get a rhythmical squeel in line with wheel speed. Sounds like its coming from the front.

I thought it was the brake squeeler but new pads and still the same.

Anyway, it must be somethin giving way slightly if it happens when there's turning load on the wheel. Otherwise the brakes would squeel all the time (if it was them - which it's not)

Sound familiar to anyone?

The splash guard on the inner side of the disc may be warped & catching when the wheel is in a certain position?  Or a small stone lodged between the guard and the disc - used to happen regularly on my old Scimitar years ago for some reason

Thanks all.

PS fluid level is good.

Could indeed be a stone - fingers crossed. Hoping it's not a bearing - haven't done one yet...
