It's a nightmare when the head goes...
Neimas head went about 18 months ago... but I decided to bite the bullet and go for a recon head instead of scraping her.
I'm soo glad I did as I'd never been able to raise the funds to replace her... and even if I did get a cheap replacement how long before I hit problems with that motor.?
But everyone has to make a decision based on their circumstances... I traded of my motorbike and quite a few other items to raise the funds to get the parts.
But she has gone thru 3 MOTs now... only actual fail was a bulge in the tread on the nearside front tyre..
that was last years MOT.. apart from that 1 advisory.. 1st MOT surface corrosion on the rear brake line.. replaced with all new pipe front to rear... and this year was straight thru pass.
But I have done a fair bit to her between the 1srt and 2nd MOTs.. mainly wear & tear bits to keep you up to scratch.
But not everyone can do all the work themselves or are unsure about tackling the jobs.. that's why we're here, to help and advise... and have some fun too..
